Heart Healthy Dipping Sauces

Want a quick munch? What is quicker than a small bowl of celery, carrots, fries, or tots with a bit of dipping sauce? Here is a list of sauces I've amassed for the times when I just need a quick snack or for dad! I try to keep the dipping sauces under 200mg of sodium or less. They are hard to find sometimes. My dad and I have done the work here so (hopefully) you don't have to!




Chick - Fil - A Sauce

Key Nutrition Facts (1 tablespoon) - Sodium: 135 mg /Cholesterol:0mg /Sat Fat: 1g


My Review: Yes! Brought to you by our beloved Chick-fil-A. Honestly, this sauce is so yummy, I only need 1 tablespoon to go with some tater tots or homemade fries.


Where to Get it: Any grocery store (Safeway, Walmart, Luckys...etc) or Amazon




Stonewall Kitchen "Truffle Ailoli"

Key Nutrition Facts (1 tablespoon) - Sodium: 90 mg /Cholesterol: 10mg /Sat Fat: 1g


My Review: This is too good not to share. I love the inclusion of truffle in my dips! Savory and complex!

Original Bitch' Sauce

Key Nutrition Facts (2 Tablespoon) - Sodium: 150 mg /Cholesterol: 0mg /Sat Fat: 0.5g


My Review: My "go-to" dipping sauce for carrots, celery and crackers. So nutty and creamy! So addictive! And for 2 tablespoons, it's only 150mg of sodium. It means you can just keep dipping!

June Moon Spice "Bang Bang" Sauce

Key Nutrition Facts (1 tablespoon) - Sodium: 130 mg /Cholesterol: 0mg /Sat Fat: 0.5g


My Review: I'm really into this Bang Bang Sauce! I usually add this as a topper to fish or other low - cholesterol seafoods (shrimp has high cholesterol so I stay away from it when cooking for dad)


Where to Get it: I've only ever seen it on Amazon

My Review: I love a bit of kick to my dips! I think it enhances the flavor of any morsels I'm enjoying. This dips is nice and creamy with just a bit of spicy to keep your dishes exciting!

Magnifisauce

My Review: Great on a heart healthy burger! I think its basically thousand island sauce but lower sodium and OMG the taste is magnifique!

My Review: Great dipping for low-sodium nuggets. Honey mustard has always been a favorite dipping sauce of mine. Glad its still in the running for a heart-healthy diet!

My Review: Be very careful browsing ketchups in your local store. This one from whole foods has a decent sodium rating! No need to sacrifice the classics in this heart healthy nutrition journey!

Sir Kensington's Special Sauce

My Review: I'm a sucker for creamy dips. This one I like to squirt on some burgers or use for dipping fries! Or both!

Carolina Brewery Carolina Gold BBQ Sauce

My Review: Great with potatoes or tots, I love a good tangy BBQ sauce and its nice to know there are options out there!
