My Savory Comfort Food


Quick, easy, and absolutely mouthwateringly savory! It packs a punch! The best part? It's a very versatile dish. Add veggies, add protein, and make it different every time. This is my absolute "go-to" healthy heart noodles recipe for when I'm out of ideas. And my dad loves it every time! Great recipe for heart patients or heart health-conscious foodies looking for umami comfort food.

Ingredients You'll Need:



Let's Get Cooking:


  • Make Egg Noodles: In a large pot of boiling water, cook noodles according to the package instructions. Drain with a colander and set aside.

  • Make Stir Fry Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together shallot sauce, sesame oil, soy sauce and red pepper fakes

  • Umami Flavors: Saute chopped garlic and onions in a medium pan until fragrant. Add mushrooms and saute on high for 2 -3 minutes.

  • Combine: Add the stir fry sauce to the pan. Stir for 1 minute. Then add pre-cooked noodles to the pan and mix for another 3 minutes.

  • Top it: Top your noodle dish with slice green onions!
